Gas prices soar as Russia cuts German supply​


European gas prices rose almost 2%, trading close to the record high set after Russia invaded Ukraine. Critics accuse the Russian government of using gas as a political weapon. Russia has been cutting flows through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline to Germany, with it now operating at less than a fifth of its normal capacity.
Before the Ukraine War, Germany imported over half of its gas from Russia and most of it came through Nord Stream 1- with the rest coming from land-based pipelines.

The Federal Security Service, known as FSB, is Russia’s top security and counterintelligence apparatus. One former U.S. intelligence officer tells Fox News Digital that the move signals Putin’s dissatisfaction with his intelligence community’s assessment of the Ukrainian invasion. "It means that Putin is angry and recognized that he was not provided with accurate intelligence," Rebekah Koffler, a former U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency agent and author of "Putin's Playbook: Russia's Secret Plan to Defeat America", told Fox News Digital about the significance of the report.

Russian Olympic Committee says it's making plans for Paris Olympics in 2024 despite sports bans​


With two years to go until the Paris Olympics open, Russia is making plans for its athletes to live and compete in the French capital even though many remain barred from upcoming qualification events because of the war in Ukraine. Russian Olympic Committee president Stanislav Pozdnyakov wrote on the Telegram messaging app Tuesday that the country was working to get its athletes access to qualification events and already making plans for the Olympic village in 2024. Most Olympic sports have suspended athletes from Russia and Belarus since the invasion of Ukraine began in February, following a recommendation from the International Olympic Committee. However, the IOC has not suspended the Russian Olympic Committee, the body which enters Russian teams for the Games.

Russia-Ukraine war: 75,000 Russians killed or injured so far, says US – live​


Here the latest developments at a glance:

  • Residents of Russian-occupied areas in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region have been urged to evacuate by Ukraine’s deputy prime minister Iryna Vereshchuk, who said people risked being cut off from “power, water, food and medical supplies, heating and communication” if they stayed in the area.
  • Five people were killed and at least 25 injured when Russian missiles struck the hangars of an aviation enterprise in Kropyvnytskyi, north of Mykolaiv, on Thursday.
  • It has emerged that despite almost 200,000 UK visa applications of Ukrainian civilians, only 104,000 people had arrived in Britain as of Monday, just over half of those who applied.
  • Hungary’s prime minister, Viktor Orbán, has warned Ukraine cannot win the war against Russia under Nato’s current support strategy.
  • The British defence ministry however said on Thursday that Ukraine’s counteroffensive in the Kherson region is growing stronger, according to the ministry’s latest defence intelligence on the war.
  • The death toll from a Russian strike on a hotel in the town of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region increased to four on Thursday, regional emergency services said, as the search for survivors continues.

Ukraine Calls for Russia to Be Recognised as State Sponsor of Terrorism​



Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Friday said the deaths of dozens of prisoners in a Russian-held jail showed there should be clear legal recognition that Russia was a state sponsor of terrorism. Ukraine round-up: Deadly attack on prisoners of war​


What exactly happened in an attack on a prison camp in occupied eastern Ukraine is unclear. Both Russia and Ukraine say dozens of Ukrainian prisoners of war were killed. But that is about the only thing they agree on.
Russia claims the prison was hit by Ukrainian rockets supplied by the US and that eight of its prison staff were injured.Unverified Russian video footage from the scene in Olenivka shows badly burned bodies amid the wreckage of what looks like sleeping quarters. But Ukraine tells a different story: that the prison was destroyed by Russia to destroy evidence of torture of prisoners of war. It says the footage was not the aftermath of a strike, but rather arson following a mass murder.

Supposedly that prison is filled with people who were defending Mariopol including some of the Azov volunteer group. Ukrainian intelligence has claimed Russia has been torturing and executing POWs there so the Russia command had it hit with their own artillery in order to try to hide the war crimes committed there.

Last week or two Russian propaganda has been running claims about Ukraine supposedly torturing and castrating Russian POWs to discourage deserters. Now we see that was just projection as Putin accuses everyone else of what he himself is doing.

Well that's WAR. The Germans did the same thing to Jews. They are still feeling the effects of that WAR today. I'm wondering why the U.S.A don't just end this now, instead of supplying Ukraine with weapons against Russia. What does Ukraine has to offer us? or should I be asking. What are we gaining by supporting Ukraine in a WAR it can not win?

North Korea announces they are ready for war with the US while CCP propagandists in state run communist media threatens to shoot down Nancy Pelosi plane if she visits Taiwan. Meanwhile the Belarus army has taken up positions on the Ukrainian border.

There are a lot of threats being made these days.

They do not want a direct conflict because that would almost certainly result in nukes being used. Western strategists do believe Ukraine and Moldova are not Putin's end goal. They are just on the way to the end goal. For centuries Russian strategists have said they have no geographic defense points in Russia so they need to expand to the 9 geographic gaps four of which are west of Russia in NATO countries.

Basically, western strategists believe if Russia isn't decidedly beaten in Ukraine then WW3 becomes just a matter of time. Russia's demographics are in collapse and this is the last chance for Russia as a nation to retake secure defensive positions or else they know they won't be able to stand against any future attacker for the next century.
