On Mine Field Pond

Aligator secrets revealed...
 
I bought 10 rosy minnows today and put them in the pond. They were only 20 cents apiece because they are feeder fish, but apparently they are great pond fish. Maybe I should get ONE HUNDRED more.

I really need to catch Bertha and put her in there. I am dreading it. SHE'S A MONSTER.
 
I'm sure she won't eat the minnows!
 
Such a peaceful creature would never do that!
 
Fortunately for the other fish, Bertha is a giant suckermouth catfish. Unfortunately she has sharp spiny fins that she can whap them with.

Cassie! I was kayaking at the end of the lake today, where it is mud flats in the winter. It is super shallow and I looked down and saw tadpoles! Soooo many of them! I tried to get a good pic-I'm still looking at them, I think I can only see 1 in the pic.
 
Can you see any tadpoles in this pic? I see 1. *edit* Oh I see 2!

Bertha is their mother now.
 
And they will be her dinner.
 
Bertha went into hiding for about 24 hours, but she is swimming around now. She wants her worms!
 
Did she go underground?
 
She went to the dark side. SHE WAS ALWAYS ON THE DARK SIDE.

OH, my bff and her urchins came over today. They said LOOK THERE ARE BABY FISH, and I said are you sure they aren't mosquito larvae? So I put my glasses on, and there are baby fish! The minnows made babies.
