I had fried pickles last week for the first time. I actually enjoyed them. The breading was a bit soggy (probably due to adding to many pickles at one time thus dropping the temperature of the oil preventing it from getting crispy) but the flavor was pleasant. Maybe I am just getting old because as a kid I loved sweet but hated sour and now I prefer sour.

Yes, taste buds change with afe. I love to try different brines when making pickles. I'be made them spicy, sweet, mega sour, tangerine and chili, apple, prange.

But fried pickles are the best. When crispy on the outside and hot and soft on the inside, they're just wonderful.

I ran out of Garrillo's pickles yesterday. I like those things and ate most of them as the boys refused to try any while my wife only ate one or two. I am weird though as Iliike Korean pickled radish kimchi, cabbage kimchi and a whole lot of other pickled this and that. I even have hard boiled pickled eggs in the fridge.

My sons never fail to ask me why I would eat such a thing.

Prebiotics are soooooooo good for you. Kimchi is a little intense, but I love pickled anything.

Btw what flavor is prange? Maybe orange? I would be disappointed with orange though as I kind of want it to be something I have never heard of before. The older I get the less novelty there is in the world.
