What game are you playing on a Nintendo console at the moment?

Kids today should be given a Game Boy Camera - AND NOTHING ELSE- and should thank their parents every day.
 
I am playing Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. It seems to be getting mixed reviews - nobody really saying it's bad but maybe not as good as it could be. And yeah, I do miss the inter-connected open world of the original Metroid Prime. You have a big desert you have to traverse with a motrocycle here...but the motorcycle is fun to ride so I don't have a huge problem with that. I've seen it described a bit like Ocarnia Of Time with the different biomes seperated by Hyrule Field and that is pretty fair...and not really a bad thing. The gameplay is still great and fun. The one NPC you meet first is a bit annoying but probably not as bad as people are making out. I don't know, I'm enjoying it.
 
I am playing Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, a Nintendo Gambecube game, on Nintendo Switch 2 Online. It was what got me into Fire Emblem and is still one of my favourite games ever 20 years later.
 
I gto the Animal Crossing Switch 2 Edition (it was only £4) and it does load a bit faster and look a bit nicer if you push the screen right up against your eyes.
 
Not on a Nintendo console, because my Switch Lite sucks dick...

But I've been playing this game called Drop Duchy on XBOX Game Pass. It combines Tetris elements with strategy and building elements. I've become kinda hooked!!

 
This video popped up and I made the mistake of watching it...



So at first I got really annoyed by how bad she was at it. She doesn't seem to understand the most simple mechanics like "running and jumping" which I thought anyone could pick up. Can't you find manuals for games online and read them? I'd do that if I was going to do a video like this! Then I started thinking maybe I was being too harsh, because Super Mario Bros 3 IS a hard game if you're not getting the warp whistles. I remember dying a ton as a child (even though I feel like I picked up stuff way faster than she does here...but maybe that's my mind only remembering certain things.) But, she's played loads of retro games, if you look at her channel. She already played Super Mario World! She should understand Mario, a bit! The amount of times she sat there staring saying "what am I supposed to do!" when the answer is just "jump over the thing!" But then I couldn't stop watching the video just to see which silly way she'd die next. And she DOES get better towards the end (and World 8 is extremely hard so I'm not judging her dying a lot there.) Then a third idea sprang to mind. Is she dying in comical ways on purpose? Is "cute girl is bad at video game then gets better" a genre of YouTube video? It probably is with the perverts we have these days.
