Feb.4,2007:

driving UP hill to pick up a friend: truck coming DOWN hill SIDEWAYS. most disconcerting. tried to pull over as far to the right as I could..he turned a full circle, went wobbling back up the hill and turned off the road.
even with snow tires, I had a bit of fun trying to negotiate road so said fucj this I shall turn left and go back DOWN the next road...going very slowly down the fracking ice rink looked in mirror and saw a car beetling down the hill behind me, driving into the snow bank in an effort to not hit me.
ah.
turned at first left at bottom of hill and went back home.
exciting

2/4/2007: My cow Chicken went to the butcher today. Gonna miss his mean ass, but not for long.. he will be delicious.

MORE bloody snow!!
three highways closed, snow day for schools in two counties -
and yes, AFTER I had JUST FINALLY cleaned the bloody driveway - the snowplow did indeed drive by and fill it up again - this time with heavy, wet , condensed:

You need a big tractor so you can have a face off with the snow plow next time it comes down your road.
 
5/2/07 - Been convinced all day it was the 7th... Did a group presentation about a boring information system, completely unplanned, but turned out really good. I did that weird thing where I didn't know what to say first and couldn't make complete sentences, but by the time I was in full flow I had to be told to shut up.

they're such kill-joys - also the giving out of yellow cards when someone whips his jersey off to celebrate a goal...we live for those moments; why are they denying us our eye candy entertainment? and why deny a player expressing the joy of scoring? where's the harm?

ok, serious snow now. can't even see where the verandah starts...
very quiet - no cars, no trucks, no city or school buses..the radio's going on and on with the cancelations and closures. wow. everything white and serene... rather beautiful.
 
6/2/07 - Day off. Have to find something thought provoking to say for a lesson tomorrow.

I think it's to stop gays and women from taking up valuable seats in the stadium.
 
Feb.8/07:

as of yesterday, we've had 92 cm. of snow since Friday.
-helped a bunch of teens push a guy stuck in his driveway -
NB:damn sports cars dont have good places to grab hold of for pushing!

-helped jump-start a guy who had left his lights on & run the battery down (this is very embarassing & I've done it too - and when it's -12 celcius it doesnt take long)
^btw he had to put the cables on cos girlie girl here barely knows where the windshield fluid goes. :(
