I'd go for that tonight.

I will be working 6 day work weeks until I get caught up. I still have nothing to complain about. I have a roof over my head, food in my stomach and I work in a beautiful location.

I'll be at the lake on Sunday, and the next town over. Even though I am off on Sundays I still have to be at the lodge from 7-8:30 PM in the evening only, but it still makes me feel as if I don't completely have the day off. But getting out of here for the majority of the day will be good.

The previous goat herder came back this week to help with quarterlies, but he is also helping me get caught up. I wish he didn't have to go. : (

I will learn this new position eventually!!!

I did, but it was a light day and I got to close up at 10 on the dot! That never happens!

I did some celebrating the night before, so tonight it was about my couch, The Quiet Man on TCM, and National Junk Food Day. :)

That is completely moronic. Are the people you work for morons or just complete dicks? I vote you find ways to sabatage the work there without getting more for yourself.

Suggestions:

1) Hide all the staples in an outhouse or hollowed out tree log.

2) Hide all the post it notes in your pants.

3) If anybody calls asking for directions, give them the directions to Bick's house.
 
I'm dying here. Everyone's on vacation and they keep asking me to stretch my hours to cover. I'm basically doing it from now till Labor Day. I just wanna cry.

You need to say "UP YOURS" to the next person who calls then when they call back say "uhh, you must have had the wrong number."
 
I do not think I should have to remind my boss of the human element of having to go through 2 evacuations, setting my office up 4 times in 4 different locations, breathing smoke when outside on a daily basis and just overall uncomfortableness of sleeping in a church and eating whatever they feed you. (even though I can go to the store to get my own food)
Sometimes I am just plain tired.

Or others are tired and they are trying to fight fires, real fires, and we are supporting them, and they are more important than getting a freaking bill paid.
But that is why I have my job, because I have to make sure the bills get paid!

In some 30 years of laboring this will be the first ever Labor Day I've been paid to take off. That seems wrong.
