I sliced my thumb quite badly cutting onions but I've been working all day and I want to just eat my soup and enjoy a glass of wine- as opposed to going and sitting in the hospital waiting room for 3 hours since it isnt life-threatening.
'Sides. it's not bleeding any more.
What are the criteria for needing stitches, anyway?
 
Did you put alchohol or neosporin on it?
 
no; I s'pose I better just in case. (not alcohol - it actually damages tissue)
 
Well if it's deep you probably needed stitches but if you waited too long you can't get them. I can't remember exactly how long you have to get stitches but I think it's about 8 hours after cutting yourself. You should probably have it looked at anyway.
