Had some time so I sat down to do some bookkeeping. Got some money I need to get invested. To me, that entails filling out an investment slip, writing a check, and putting a stamp and return address sticker on the envelope and mailing it to the brokerage. But Vanguard managed to cut that avenue off for me ages ago, so I fumbled onto their Website and stumbled to where I could buy shares. Except the bank account I wanted to use isn't linked to my investment account--the one that is doesn't have enough money in it. So I fought with setting up the new bank but in the end they have to make some little deposits to it and then I have to log back in and tell them the amounts before I can use that bank account.
I did find investment forms for 3 of my other stocks but 1 of them was a specific offer that had to be executed by 2021 so I went to their Website and proceeded to set up an account. Except after proving I'm not a robot they had to send me a confirmation code to either the phone number I haven't had since 2019 or the e-mail I haven't had since 2023. So I e-mailed customer support and now I've got to wait on that. Now I don't know if I have the energy to write checks for the 2 investments I can still do the Olde Fashioned way--and it is almost dinnertime.
