Where is the Random Thread of Randomness stuff that doesn't belong in other threads thread?

It's so wild, when dehydration just sneaks up on you. Over to paint trim on the house this morning. Shorts and a white T-shirt. Plus, it hasn't been as miserably hot and sticky as it's been. My shirt got wet and I got tired, but I was generally comfortable. Then it was time for the afternoon dog walk. Chance of rain so it cooled off quite a bit and was actually a fairly pleasant walk. Did get caught by a short shower towards the end, but I had my umbrella. Got The Dog home and decided to fuck off on the computer and catch my breath a bit, to give the rain a chance to end and I felt a little thirsty so what the heck, have a glass of water with ice. I instantly drained it in one draught while standing at the sink so I had another and that one went down pretty quickly too. I hadn't consciously realized I was that thirsty, but apparently I was.

Today is going to be nerve wracking, there are people here to cut down a tree. It's in a falling on the house kind of place.

They usually get training on making them not fall on houses.

Here you go Captain a hull sunset.
No hills so it checks out.

The challenge I presently face is that my brain knows what it's able to accomplish with a 35 year old body--and doesn't understand it is in a 56 year old body.

GENIUS!

Can't remember if I've posted this here or not. And I cannot take credit for it (or remember who to attribute it to) but:
INTERVIEWER: There's this 5 year gap on your resume' that just says "Revenge."
ME: ...
ME: You don't remember me, do you?

I saw something streak through the sky this morning. It was either a meteor or an alien landing.

I wonder if eventually they will rename meteors so as not to upset vegaterians.

Hopefully the aliens here to judge us and find out wanting...

Why do teenage boys wear hoodies when it is 90 degrees? THEY IS CRAZY.

My boy does this, then when it's winter he never wants to wear a coat.

I decided to google it! Google says several reasons from being insecure to having anxiety, but at the end finally says "social trend" which is probably the main thing.

Also, I didn't know this was a global thing. lol

There are a lot of reasons for me to not like this Mamdani guy, but the other day he said New Yorkers should set their AC's not cooler than 78F and people are mocking him for it. One guy was like "I KEEP MINE AT 68! MURICA!" And they probably set the thermostat to 81F in the winter. Why!? I keep mine at 82 in the summer and 67 in the winter. There's one HVAC company that has a commercial with a teenage kid sitting in the kitchen in shorts while it is snowing outside? Why?! Dress for the season. And yeah, the people in sweats on 90 degree days and shorts on 25 degree days drive me bonkers. Especially shorts in winter. Winter will KILL you. Something goes wrong and you're stuck outside and not dressed for it and you will DIE.

I may have to put batteries back in the DVD and VCR remotes and start watching tapes and DVDs because there's nothing on TV anymore. It was bad enough when they'd run the same 12 episodes of a series I enjoy over and over and over and over, but now it's fucking "Hardcore Pawn," "Dog the Bounty Hunter," and "Crocodile Fuckers" or something. Story is on a junk jag of "The Secret Tesla Files" and "Is Hitler Alive?" and "Bigfoot Ghost Hunters." So there's "Star Trek" reruns, a bunch of Western channels, a bunch of Jesus channels, and a bunch of police procedural channels. Watched "Antiques Roadshow" tonight. I actually enjoy that, but I need commercials to do little chores and projects during the evening instead of just sitting there staring at the screen.
