Where is the Random Thread of Randomness stuff that doesn't belong in other threads thread?

I hate hard shell corn tortillas. And cheap, generic tacos. But I got served up an Old El Paso ad and now I'm kind of thinking I need a taco night, where I heat cheap generic tacos in hard shell corn totillas. What do I need? Taco shells, obviously. Hamburger and taco sauce. Sour cream. Shredded iceberg lettuce. Black olives. Probably chopped onions. Hot sauce. Guac? A pitcher of margaritas. A normal person would also invite friends over. But that sounds horrible. Ooh! Sliced pickled jalepenos! Chopped tomatoes.

Also I don't use hamburger anymore. I like the pre-seasoned taco beef cut up in small pieces, vor chicken or pork.
Black beans work good to with seasoning and or sweet potatoes surprisingly. And purple cabbage instead of lettuce.
Now I am hungry.

On my list of things I'd do if I had nothing else to do is learning to make flour tortillas and cook beans from scratch. It's right up there with attaching a smoker to the old wood burning stove I have out in the shed.

I just use ones from a can. I have bags of beans for back up, but haven't touched them.

I'm never happy. My dog gets 2 hour long walks every day. Lately she's only been wanting to go out a half hour or less at a time. She's over 8 so I was happy for the extra time to be productive but sad because it probably meant our time was getting shorter and shorter. The past 2 days, the walks have consistently been over an hour and 15 minutes. So yeah, I'm happy that apparently it must've just been the hot weather that was bothering her, but I'd like to have at least a little time each day to maybe do at least one productive thing.

FUCK! There are things you just think "Oh, this will be simple." And it turns out to be impossible. Buy some print T-shirts. I'm down to one Batman and one Superman. Maybe be nice to get a Captain America shield, and I dunno, maybe some kind of rock band T-shirt. Easy, right? Wal*Mart. Target. Hot Topic. Take your pick. Nope. I don't know if I was just in a bad mood but I didn't see a single t-shirt that interested me. Hot Topic had 1 or 2 that didn't totally suck, but usually they'd have at least a dozen cool shirts.

So then it hit me: If I want superhero shirts, maybe I should go to a comic book store. And I know where there's a cool comic book store I've driven by many times but never got around to stopping at. This will be my excuse to go there. So I fire up Google Maps to refresh my memory. And can't find it. Eventually I "drove" down the street I remembered it being on in Street View and finally found it. It closed in 2024. :/

Before that I checked some of the other alleged comic book shops online and couldn't find anything about T-shirts. So I guess I'm just fucked.

A similar story, after moving to Louisville, I realized I was maybe 45 minutes down the road from the Knob Creek Gun Club, where they have this world famous annual machine gun shoot. Unfortunately I had a dog that had separation anxiety so there was a risk of her destroying the house if I left her home, but she would also want to go home if someone set off a bottle rocket 3 blocks away so taking her to a machine gun orgy of explosions was a non-starter. A few months after she died I realized the annual shoot was coming up so I looked up the details. They'd stopped doing it after the previous one.

Am I the Antichrist or something? Ted McGinley? :(

Do you wear other shirts besides t-shirts? Is it a layering thing? Like a plaid shirt over?
I packed all my short sleeve shirts away for the winter and I'm already in sweaters.

I hate it when I am in town chasing stuff down.

HA! I totally forgot about SuperheroStuff. I can't even remember why I used to know them. I might have to fire up my bookkeeping and see what/if I bought from them.

I need to check them out myself. My superhero tshirts are so old, I bought them from Walmart.
