Wouldn't it be a pisser if your religion got it *almost* right, but not quite? The other day while I was walking The Dog and my mind was wandering I got to thinking about Egyptian mummies. They embalmed the bodies because they thought that was important for their afterlife. The organs came out and were stored in jars. But they didn't know about the brain. They thought that was just useless junk so they threw it away. Can you imagine Anubis, waiting for each soul to show up, hoping it will finally come with a brain so he can put it together and take it to the afterlife but it never does so all the souls just get lost and he can't find a way to get a message through that they've got to keep the brain? lol.

This is probably going to be boring to everyone but me, but the neighborhoods I walk my dog in date from the mid '50s to mid '60s--lots of 1 story 3 bedroom brick ranches. Well one day we're walking a street we haven't been on in awhile and there's this huge new home getting finished up smack-dab in the middle of all the brick ranches. I'm trying to remember what used to be there; if it's a very extensive remodel or if they tore down the old house. Tonight I remembered to jump on Google Map to see. Nothing. There was nothing there. In a neighborhood with no vacant lots it was a vacant lot. Somehow I'd never noticed it was a vacant lot. This is partly because the house on one side had stuck their swing set quite aways out into the lot in the backyard and the house on the other side had done the same with their "yard barn". And there was a 6' wood privacy fence that ran all the way across.
Street View has a "time machine" feature, where you can look at older pics. Because of the fence and swing set I was wondering if maybe the old place had burned or something. If it did, it was before 2011. That's the first Street View of the lot. So now I'm just weirded out and wondering how this one lot just managed to miss getting built on for all these years. (And, for that matter, who realized there was a vacant lot there, bought it, and built on it.)
