What's it like to be jack

Things seem cold, dark, bitter-tasting, even damp (in his pants). Sees the world through a breath-fogged window and a more immediate vodka haze. Too poor to be "eccentric", has to settle for "not right". Head tends to tilt to the left a little. Forgets to blink or close mouth for hours at a stretch. Can't always place the name to the face with the kids. Difficulty pooping.
