I thought more than one book involved the Caspian dude though...
I might reread the books with my oldest kid (he's 7). But I think the language might be a little too hard for him just because it's a little archaic now, you know? Like he started the first book and he's like, "What's a wardrobe? What's a nymph? Where is London?" and I'm all d00d those are hard questions where is wikipedia when you need it LOL.
In one of the Narnia books the dwarves call the Arab type people "darkies" so you might want to change that to "DIRTY NIGGERS" when you read it to your son. Just so he isn't confused.
Prince Caspian was the small Arab prince who infiltrated the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-C and did some pretty nasty things to Captain Garrett whilst she was in the Sonic Shower
Prince Caspian was prolly my least favourite of the lot.
Except for the brave Reepicheep.
thanks for the link, Cassie, that brought back some great memories.
Alas, SBV's right; the language has made it rather inaccesible; I've tried several times to get kids who liked the Potter stories to give te tales of Narnia a go, but so far no luck.
Maybe the movie will bring in new readers?
Of course I could have looked up Wiki, but I would have prefered to actually have a conversation about it, rather than the usual "LOL NIGGERS ARE BLACK" type posts (one made by me) but I suppose that's too much to ask from the Mine Field LOL YOU ALL HATE ME LOL I'M MARTYRING MYSELF NOW WHY DID I EVER COME BACK LOL
I didn't think the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe movie was all that compelling.
