So what does this mean? Are we winning the War on Terror?
To recap:
In 2001 terrorists destroyed the World Trade Center and heavily damaged the Pentagon, killing thousands.
The same year we went into Afghanistan, after al Qaeda.
In 2003 we went into Iraq.
In 2005, terrorists attacked London's mass transit system, killing 52.
In 2006, terrorists attempted to blow up like, 11 airliners using liquid explosives. The attack was foiled and the suspects caught.
Earlier this year a planned attack on JFK airport was stopped before implementation, with all the suspects caught.
And in the past two days we've had three car-bomb type attacks in the UK, with no loss of life.
We've killed quite a few of the ringleaders of international terrorism, captured quite a few more, and dismantled their financial networks. I would say we are winning. :techman:
