Agreed - something is gonna come out of Alex realising her mum's still alive.
I predict that Jack will NOT make it off the island because John will destroy the sub and that's what Jack was gonna leave on.
Poor John and his I -might- be -crippled- if -I- leave -so- no- one- else- can- leave- either -schtick. bah!

I think Locke didn't really understand just how evil his dad is. A con man, yes, but a murderer? I don't think that even crossed his mind. He is being pretty damn selfish about wanting to keep everyone on the island just so he can live the way he wants to. I was going to say he's gone crazy, but I think that happened to him way before he got to the island.

^ actually, you may be right on that account. Some of his behaviour really has been around the twist, in terms of illogical and ludicrously stupidly impulsive, to say the least.
I was reading Coyote Ugly's theory about the tesseract (sp); kinda intriguing, and would explain wacky stuff like the horse, cat, polar bear, Locke's dad, etc.

well props to her - she acts like she really is a naive sixteen year old.

Of course she was closer to the characters age when she first appeared, but now her character's only a month or so older while the actress is a couple of years older.
I loved this week's episode, though I'm confused about why Locke won't let others leave, it's not as if he'd have to come along. And now he's pissed them all off he's going to be marooned with people who hate him. It's not as though he needs then for the company.

I think so too. He has no reason to stay with the Losties, they don't like the island like Ben does and after blowing up their only escape, they'll all be out for his blood. I wonder if Locke might end up getting killed? Even the Others will be pissed and Ben can't protect him for long.
