They are now. At one time, she and Messy were talking or going steady or whatever it is kids do these days, and she dropped him for an older man. Messy threatened suicide... she didn't really care much other than a concerned message on the answering machine that Messy won't share... now he's bitter and she's getting porked by a pedophile. Typical day in suburbia.
