For all the movies this summer that might not get a thread of their own.

So far, Hancock beat Wanted like a redheaded stepchild.
 
uh oh. I'm planning on seeing Wanted tomorrow! Wot's wrong with it?

We saw Wanted Saturday. Thought it fucking rocked. Soundtrack kills.

Plus, James Macevoy is a hottie. Angelina looking anorexic.
 
And when she says killer soundtrack, believe her.
 
I looked to see if they have a soundtrack, but only the instrumental cd is out. Bastards.

Wanted is fine I guess, if all you're looking for is a summer movie full of explosions and special effects..

The trouble is if you're a dork like me and you remember the story it's (loosely) based on. Which was much more entertaining and original than the direction they chose to go in. It's not just that they changed certain characters and circumstances, they took a perfectly good story, gutted it, and replaced it with the same movie we've seen hundreds of times before. I thought Morgan Freeman would save this movie for me, but he couldn't. There were a few parts of the movie that made me laugh, but mostly it was one cliched plot device after another.

For my money, Hancock was much better because it had 2 or 3 concepts I'd hadn't seen much (if at all) in this type of fiction, and balanced the humor, drama, and action in a way that kept entertained the entire time.

I agree that the soundtrack was good. The movie could only have been improved by Halle Berry in a fox suit.

So what if she's got a tight bod, she's a hack.

And who the hell doesn't like explosions and special effects? Or a guy's head being used as a shield and a bullet bag? I'm a girl, and I love that shit!

Oh, don't get me wrong. I don't have much use for Angelina, either. She's been in some good movies, though. And she was right for the part of Fox.

Saw Hancock tonight. Enjoyed it.

Saw Don't Mess with the Zohan a couple of weeks ago. Enjoyed it too.

Hellboy II is coming up and you know they made that movie for me.

They made The Mummy III for me too.

That new James Bond movie coming out in November looks good, too, and I don't care for Bond movies - except when Pierce Brosnan was playing Bond.

I've got free movie money in my billfold
and there are movies at the theater I want to see!
 
Hellboy II looks like the worst movie ever to be made.

I'll pass. Really, I'll pass on everything except for TDK and Wall-E for this summer. Hancock's a maybe, but I can wait until it comes out on DVD and rent it.

Oh yeah, HB II will be getting my money this weekend.

Asia Argento is a hottie, and the fact that she's the daughter of Dario makes her even more so.

I hear that! When she showed up in Land of the Dead, I thought "Now, the circle is complete." Dario was responsible for Romero being able to make Dawn.
