The show is currently in it's 5th series on Discovery Plus in the UK. I've been binging it lately, and am halfway through the third series at the time of posting.
I've been watching Richard Hammond since before Top Gear started showing here in the States. G4TV used to show his Brainiac series, so he was the only one I was familiar with when I started watching Top Gear.
Watched every episode of Classic Top Gear, and The Grand Tour, and even been watching DRIVETRIBE videos with him and his daughter Izzy. None of that... none of that prepared me for what I've seen so far of Workshop.
I don't know if a lot of this was simply to create drama for the series, but a lot of his business decisions and other choices, shocked the hell out of me. How can this man be so inept at running a business? Thankfully it's gotten a little better as the series has progressed, and I have quite a bit to go to catch up, but it should have never even got to the points that it began with.
And I know that many of the things that I've seen thus far, had to have led to the divorce of his wife Mindy, which I've read he addresses in the Series 5 opener...
Anyone else watch this? Anyone else as shocked as I've been? Or is this pretty much par for the course for UK viewers and Richard Hammond?
