Playststion 3 vs Wii

I never understood why such a hugely popular site like the Onion keeps on writing such pitifully short articles.

Their damn right about the PS3 being a fucking ridiculous price though, but I always wait a year or two before buying a next gen system anyway. Hopefully the price will go down by then.
 
I like the nintendo games better. I have played Zelda since the start. I will buy a wii just for that one game alone.

we have the game cube with the game boy module and play game boy games on our 36" TV. the game boy module cost $49 and its cool. the little game boy key pad is too small for my fat fingers.

On both system I will wait to buy a year to 2 years when the price is nothing of what it is now.
 
I stop buying them after they started costing more than 200 dollars. (I know PS2 is under that now, but I've done played most the shit on it through my friends.) Last system I had was a used N64 about a year after it came out. I had so much fun with the THQ WCW/WWF, goldeneye, and the various Mario related games. (Mario party was a damn hoot.) The wrestling games on every system besides N64 have sucked IMO. The controls are too freakin complicated. The 64 ones you could have matches that were way more realistic instead of just giving someone 18 powerbombs in a row. My ex did have a PS2 though, and Spiderman 2 was the shit on that. (But it was on 64 also.) I dunno. I like the GTAs, and Maddens, but damn, shit has just gotten too high, and when you have to buy it yourself, well, screw that noise. Although, I can't say that the temptation to buy a 360 come tax time hasn't crossed my mind. The online shit is sweet. But, if I ever buy another anything I'll take the Bad Dog approach as well. Wait until after 2 years, and the game library is large, and cheap.
 
Part of the reason for the rediculous price of the PS3 is because it has a blue-ray decoder. So, essentially, you're buying a blue ray player and a video game console. However, the incompatibility of blue ray and other newly-encrypted software dvd's will make it annoying to own.

If I wanted Mario Party I'd buy it for my N64 since that stagnant series hasn't changed one bit since the late 90s.
 
Actually, the very first version for 64 is still my favorite, and all the kids' favorites too. The rst of the 64 versions are crap, and the Gamecube version is OK but still based on the sequels instead of the great original.

Seriously, my nieces and I play Mario titles and a few other games for Gamecube. The "wow" factor of blu-ray (which I think is premature to put in a game console) does nothing for me, and the greater number of games available means little to me as well, since I don't play that often in general. And the price of the PS3 is utterly ridiculous.
 
Do like I do. Simply set your neighbors house on fire, then sit in the window with a rifle and shoot at them as they run out ;)

I clubbed a guy over the head with my NES one time when I was a child. It played fine afterwards too.

Try doing that with any of the cheaply made nipperbox's now a days.
 
I threw my lunchbox at a girl in the third grade and hit her in the back with it. One of those metal square ones. I was supposed to get the stick for it but Kennedy got assassinated so I got a reprieve.
 
I never got into PS. I've always been a nintendo gal. Especially super nintendo, which had some of the best games ever.

Besides, how can you compete with Zelda? Inconceivable!
