Plants Vs. Zombies

I haven't played this for quite a while now, but it's obviously made an impression on me because yesterday, out of the corner of one eye I saw an old, shrivelled man with thinning hair, wearing a brown tweed suit, grey trousers, and shuffling right-to-left along some grass. My first thought was to hastily blow him up with a cherry bomb.
 
The kid on Modern Family was playing Plants Vs. Zombies last night.
 
I've been playing the full game quite a bit. There's so many more plants and zombies.
 
I finally got it to load the loading screen, but then it stops :(

I just pruned a whole yard of vines and shrubs, I kept on waiting for the zombies, but they never showed.
 
I got a PM at REFCL about "arcade pwnage" or something. I don't know if my brain can go back to playing non PVZ games yet...

I got to the second level, then saw the blue ones and gave up.
 
I tried to do it, so that I could make Wacky eat his keyboard or something, but I couldn't even get 1 point. I then cried and eat my keyboard, so justice was served.
 
It'd be a lot easier if TK didn't keep redirecting to the scoreboard after every short little game.
 
Are there any similar games to Plants vs Zombies (not just on TK but IN GENERAL)?
 
WOOHOO, I got to play FINALLY. I only killed 76 zombies though.
 
USE TWO ROWS OF POTATOES TOWARDS THE RIGHT SO THAT POLE-VAULTERS CAN'T GET OVER.
 
Walnuts and those chompy things are good to have.
 
Yeah, I found it's best to leave the row furthest right empty so that you can plant a chompy thing as soon as a football zombie appears to get rid of the bastard quickly.
 
What are the chompy things? I forgot about this game and may reinvestigate
