Permaban poll on ExIsle

You know Shal, you really are somewhat missing the point. If the membership kicks up a fuss the way they just did, how will you stop it?

It isn't just about the 'evil' EI staff. It never was. It's about your membership in general. They cry 'foul' at every turn. They've just voted to give you the sword to do the banning they all want so fervently.

I'm not the least bit afraid of what the Staff might do. But, I have watched the tone of the community in general, change, and the staff has bent to their wishes on more than one occasion. If the natives get restless about new 'trolls' or perceived enemies coming in, they will push to let you ban on 'reputation' alone or some such. They'll want you to make people disappear, so they won't be bothered in their nice, neat, little part of the Isle.

It's not the staff, it's the renegade membership.
 
No Cait I wasn't missing the point but I'm not going to discuss it more.

I know that saying this here is not the most likely place to get a response...but have some faith.

Besides the fact that it's usually these whiny-ass TKers crying foul and filling up the mods' PM boxes with complaints,.................the mods at EI have always had this power. This poll was rather pointless, because all it did was mollify the members into thinking that you trolls will finally get permabanned. We all know that's never going to happen.

Well, I think there was plenty of whining to go around, I don't think anyone on TK cornered the market on that. EI is, well... EI afterall.

But, do you really think they'll never use the permaban? I mean honestly, I'm realy curious why you think that.
 
Two reasons. First, the EI mod staff is still largely made up of those who insist that all they need to do is be nice and the trolls will fall in line. Second, there is also a fear that if they ever did do a permaban, TK members and their duals will descend on EI en masse and tear the place apart. You know that would happen, too.
 
So utah, what are you like the exisle babysitter or something? What's your purpose? (other than to judge TK actions as they relate to exisle interactions)
