Only Murders In The Building

The problem with the finales is, when they reveal the killer at the end of episode 9, everyone's like "there must be another twist, it can't be that simple!" But it usually is just that simple. Which is fine! There wouldn't have really been a twist that would have made sense anyway. And I guess mabye bringing up the plotholes from season 1 this season was just a red herring...OR MAYBE IT WILL COME UP AGAIN IN SEASON 5.

It's good Loretta didn't get murdered. I guess Lester used to be in the mob or something.
 
Yeah, killing Loretta would have been over the line. And I'm glad they didn't kill Uma Heller either -- Jackie Hoffman is hilarious with the one or two sarcastic lines they give her each episode.

Tea Leoni looks like...Tea Leoni 20 years older than the last time I saw her. Amazing. She's supposed to figure into season 5 so maybe there will be 2 investigations going on at once...

Good season. Lots of great & unexpected guest stars.
 
I can't imagine whatever Coffee Leoni's plot is won't tie in with the murder, in some way (I saw someone speculate she murdered Lester to get the trio to investigate her missing man but that seems a bit too cruel.)
 
So I watched the first episode of season 5. It was pretty good - mostly just setting things up, but there was good comedy with Charles and Lester's body. I'm going to guess one of the five sons is the killer. BUT THEN it started auto-playing episode 2 and it turns out episode 3 is up too!? They've never done this before, have they? I don't have timet o watch all three right now so I'll finish them tomorrow. KIND OF ANNOYING WHEN UNEXPECTED THINGS HAPPEN.
 
Second episode was good but the timeline was insanely weird. Lester is born in 1948. I think they say he was a doorman for 32 years, so he would have started in 1993 (if the show is set in 2025.) She he should have been 45 but the actor looked 30 at most when he started and acted like he was some young naive kid. There was a scene set in 1999 where Howard's mom was worried about Y2K and Charles was auditioning for the lead in Gladiator (seems unlikely, but it's a comedy!) so Lester should have been at least 50 but was still played by the babyfaced actor and not acting like any 50 year old I know. And in the scenes where he meets his wife she's dressed like it's the sixties or something?

Third episode was the usual fun. I still enjoy the show. I'm not going to worry about the mystery too much because it's either impossible to solve (season 2 where it was some random who got about 4 lines) or incredibly easy to solve (the last two seesons.) I feel like they haven't even introduced all the suspects yet.
