I've seen similar things done in Britain as well, although they weren't that stupid. I love how they changed the names of the countries on the map.

It's hilarious but also really sad to watch. It's the sheer numbers of the ignorant wasting oxygen on a daily basis without even the most simplified view of the world in which they exist in that is plain fucking scary.

While all countries have mass ignorance as a rather unfortunate trait, America does seem to have an especially deep ignorance of anything existing outside of th US. As a Brit I'd like to scoff at the absurdity of those dumb Yanks, but I don't think we have the right if the snapshot of our working classes that has been waved about of late is anything to go by.

Then again it's a bit much when they go back to the studio and the Aussie says "most Americans..." is if they actually talked to most Americans and not just a dozen on the street.
 
Funny thing about america, tho, is that it's so vast that knowing the rest of the world seems like a big chore next to just getting to know america. I still haven't been to most places here, same as anyone, and I've been all over the world. There's a whole universe here, and that can be daunting to the natives, even.
 
Kyrgyzstan is most certainly a threat. What if some Americans go there and they pull that old "Let us worship Alexander reincarnated wait no you're not Alexander, stone you to death" trick? What then?
