It just felt a bit out of place, but the Doctor and Martha showing up at the memorial was a nice touch.
 
And everyone was saying that boy would end up being the Master or something. GUESS NOT.

Thats certainly what it sounded like with that line.
 
My great grandfather died in WWI.

But that didn't make me enjoy the ending. I just thought it was fucking fantastic. I was a bit worried it was turning into LotR with a bazillian endings, but it was all in there for a reason and worked brilliantly. Definitely my favourite episode ever.

Only bit that didn't make sense was the kid at the end saying "this is it" and then something about "all those years ago", when his voice was clearly still unbroken.

That series of events was weird. Didn't seem like the Doctor to be so cruel, but there you go.

That was sort of the point, though. The Doctor could have caught and trapped The Family at any point, and the only reason he was hiding from them was so that he didn't have to and they would die before they found him.
 
Of course they ended up killing dozens of humans first because of his hiding.

I think he's in all the scarecrows, like the girl is in all the mirrors.
