Apparently I'm the doormat you're walking on too.

I really wish I hadn't seen that, especially after being worried about my daughter.

I didn't mean to open a can of worms, I thought I was entitled to speak my mind but I guess even an innocuous post can be misinterpreted too.
 
Walterpanter is a turd. I've never liked him/her/whatever, for its snotty, holier than thou, "I'm better then you because your just an icky troll person who's sole purpose in life is to cause people hell" attitude.

I've been content to ingnore him prior to now, but that comment really irked me, and I had to say something. At least the admins made him edit out the offending remarks.

I wouldn't worry about offending him/her, s/he cleary not worth it.
 
Normally I don't speak up like I did mostly because I have a hard time putting into words what's running around inside my head. Happens a lot, I probably still didn't get my point across and I think I'll just leave it alone.

My mom did say I'm to tenderhearted for my own good, guess she's right.

Thanks for what you did anyway. I'd hug you but I wouldn't want to offend you ;)

It was very brave of you to speak your mind, Chatty. I suffer the same problem with posting my thoughts too. I read and read all the posts, then someone makes a response that, for me at least, says it all. Then I don't feel it is necessary to add my two cents because, what's the point? On rare occasions I pop up and say something, but unlike you, I have always been consistently ignored. I don't even garner a hateful response from anyone. Ah well, I am growing to like my anonymity. No one yells at me . . .well, except here.

Other people probably look at your posts like you look at theirs - you said what they were going to say and don't feel it is necessary to add their two cents.
 
I agree with eloisel, that many times you want to post your thoughts but wait for someone else to it for you. Don't wait, just post...:)

Yeah, it surprised me too back when I found out. She's got more venom than a rattlesnake jamboree.

I personally despise her, but she's not that big of a deal. She's got one talent I'll never have...she can kiss staff ass like it's some sort of fetish for her.
 
Fanny Fawning is not a talent I possess either. Besides, most people can see through the groveling, but being superficial themselves, they enjoy the feelings of superiority over someone whose character is all facade.
 
WP's used to OT - which is pretty rough at times. Got to come on strong and stay strong or that bunch will eat you alive.

I've gotten over my personal issue with EI so I'll post more over there now, but I'm staying out of the OT. The Beach, Reviews, and Art seem pretty nice.

I'll still keep an eye on AQG but I don't think I'll post in that forum unless it is a fairness issue. Cait is pretty dang good at tackling the majority of the issues and the membership respects her, if not her POV, for the most part.

Even when I really wasn't taking *sides* I get attacked.
 
Chatty -- these are the same posters who attack the TK/EI members at the drop of a post. They are so incensed that, anyone they perceive as being in the TK camp, or offering a more moderate viewpoint, is going to be lumped in the same group with the TKers and given the same verbal and hostile treatment. They want the pound of flesh, and they want it charbroiled. There is no talking reason with them as they are in their bunkers and armed for what they think is a holy war for the very soul of EI. No one can get these few posters to see that EI is not being torn to shreds, there is no Dresden-like fire storm, and if everyone would stop listening to the Chicken Little camp, life would continue on EI as it always has. <sigh>

But I can understand how uncomfortable it is to have someone attacking you when you've done nothing more than lay out a very logical and reasoned thought. This is one reason I have stayed out of the fray.

Well, I would think that DS would highly disagree with Delvo's opinion that he wasn't a contributing member before all this got started.

Some realities.

As I've mentioned, many of the people from my homeboard post on EI these days - some almost esclusively. As these are people I've known for about 5 years, I'd miss not being around them.

What happened on my homeboard is one of the reasons why I'm so against perma banning. We had a fairly popular member who is a bit nuts anyway, but fun, edge over the line a bit and too often and she got perma banned. She went to another board with overlapping membership - not EI, and blasted away at the mod on our board. I mean it got nasty - much nastier than this trollish game playing - it got personal and very hurtful. Some of us at the HB missed her and tried to keep in contact with her on the other board - but she was so obsessed with her perma ban it was to hard to be around her. Some of us at the HB wanted to avoid her like a pariah and got into shunning those of us who tried to keep our lost friend from going even further into the deep end. Two years later and she is stilll hopping around the internet shoving her version of the story down people's throats. And our HB, which was a very successful community with a membership of over 1000 and about 100 active and on-line posters every day, started dwindling. We lost some love for each other, some respect, some trust because we saw one of us go down and in flames. Some of us did nothing and others, what they did was of no use. It hurt, it divided us, and we've been diminished in more ways than one.

This is for D - if you're still reading over here since nobody seems too interested in your BS. You've recently accused me of not giving a shit. Your crap put me and O at odds, so much so we had a bloody fucking brawl and I had to whip his ass royally in public. That was at a great risk to myself, cost me some friendships with people I really liked, including O. All you had to do was quit being a nasty bitch and quit acting like the rest of us have to revolve around you and whatever hair gets up your butt in the morning. You accuse O of trolling you, flaming you, calling you names, blackmailing you. For more than two years you've been doing that and worse and I'm sick of it. O has offered you the olive branch many times and all you care to do is try to whip him with it. I'm going to say it to you again - get some professional fucking help because you need it seriously bad.

And that personal situation with D coming back to ground here recently also made me realize I don't want to be her - forever angry over a slight, a misunderstanding, an odd that doesn't mean much in the scheme of things and keeps me hanging in an insane limbo instead of moving on with the living.

And, as much as I like a good knock down drag out fight with TS, most days I'd rather play.
