On March 3, 2022, Mercedes-Benz declared that it “will suspend the export of passenger cars and vans to Russia as well as the local manufacturing in Russia until further notice.” It soon became clear that the automaker froze its operations in Russia and decided to fully withdraw from the market.
There are no authorized Mercedes-Benz dealerships in North Korea. Daimler AG (now Mercedes-Benz Group) has not had official business dealings with the country for over 15 years and complies with international sanctions banning luxury goods.
