Murderbot

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
Murderbot - I watched the first two episdoes. It's good fun. Skarsgard's voieover is the highlight, and how he plays the robot kind of autistic (the eye contact bit fel very familiar for me!) Funny cameos in the Star Trek-style tv show he was watching. Episdoes are short but it isn't really a sitcom (it is funny though) so I did end up wishing the second episode had been longer as it cut off just as it was about to get interesting.

Third episode - Again, perfectly fine and amusing but feels light on plot and wouldn't stand up as an episode in its own right.

I just watched the 3rd ep.

I like how murderbot is internally sarcastic at all times. I think he will love the space hippies eventually.

Fourth episode was the best one yet. Felt more like a proper episodic story with Murderbot malfunctioning and even the annoying thruple characters did something useful.

Fifth episode was good again, but the new character was a bit distracting. She clearly based her acting style exactly on Lisa Kudrew as Phoebe Buffet. It's pretty obvious she's evil so I hope they find her out fast.

CLIFFHANGER!! :rwmad:

Yeah, as soon as she said her name is Leebeebee I KNEW she was evil, but also funny that she wants to have sex with SecUnit. He is hot, though.

Sixth episode (probably should have started a thread, really) was very good. Murderbot is getting MURDER HAPPY, perhaps. But he probably did the right thing as she seemed very likely to kill them.

That was another really good episode. I will miss Leebeebee, she was insane.

Eighth episode was good as it was pretty serious and less comedic (other than the opening and the bit with the throuple maybe breaking up) and I hope Murderbot didn't kill those 57 people on purpose.
Ninth episode I thought was the season finale but there's still one more. Murderbot seemingly dies again so I guess we'll get total flashbacks showing everything he's done next week. It was nice that even Gurathin seemed to believe in him at the end.

I hope he's not really dead, maybe they will download his brains into something. LIKE A TOASTER.

It got renewed for a second season so it gets its OWN THREAD.

Tenth episode - It was a good finale. More emotional and serious than most of the season. I guess we'll have an all new supporting cast in season 2 and finally solve the mystery of the dead miners.

HE DID LOVE THE SPACE HIPPIES.

I like this series very much, and I am glad it was renewed.
