I didn't like the trailer. I'm pretty hardcore about Terminator and I'm not impressed at all. Also, some spoilers about the plot have been revealed...

Sarah Connor isn't the innocent she was when Linda Hamilton first sported feathered hair and acid-washed jeans in the role. Nor is she Hamilton's steely zero body-fat warrior in 1991's T2. Rather, the mother of humanity's messiah was orphaned by a Terminator at age 9. Since then, she's been raised by (brace yourself) Schwarzenegger's Terminator—an older T-800 she calls "Pops"—who is programmed to guard rather than to kill. As a result, Sarah is a highly trained antisocial recluse who's great with a sniper rifle but not so skilled at the nuances of human emotion.

It's going to be bullshit.
 
Have you not seen the episode where all the kids in the home break into a "Come on Eileen" song and dance number. Eileen later complains about the mess and humiliation.
 
Keith Chegwin literally made a "come on Eileen" joke on CBB (moody bitch Katie Hopkins then complained about it.)
 
He has no shame (apart from his shame about the naked game show thing he did of course, he does have a little shame apparently (Lol, little penis joke there!))

Wow...I can already tell that they got this completely wrong. What made the orginal work was the sense of wit applied to the entire story and the characters. None of them ever had time to stop and think about the OMG SERIOUSNESS of their situation, they were too busy running or fighting or just being fascinated. All of the tongue-in-cheek social commentary about suburban living seems to be gone, and it's now a full-on horror flick.

You'd think using Sam Rockwell would mean that's not the case, but it doesn't look like they let him be "the Sam Rockwell character" so that was a waste.

Some movies really shouldn't be remade. The sequels to the original already helped prove that point years ago. Poltergeist II was the first movie where I walked out of the theater mid-flick.
 
Is there violence with young children and guns? Are there high school short skirts? Do they do that thing where they have long conversations holding guns at each others faces? Does Samuel L Jackson sell out the 27 cents he has left in his credibility bank?

YES!
