Letterman hasn't been funny for years.. I think he needs writers for all those stupid skits, I mean how can he do will it float? or get a bunch of retards with grinders up there doing stuff if no one writes it out for him? Plus someone has to actually write out the questions he's going to ask the celebrities.
I was watching Ellen a little while ago, and she was showing bits from that Japanese game show that got posted here recently, where people have to contort themselves into a shape cut out of an oncoming foam wall or else be knocked into a pool of water. She then turned it into a game and let audience members bet on whether the next clip would show someone winning or falling.
I don't like Leno either, I haven't really watched any of their shows in a while. I did watch Jimmy Kimmel Live for a while and thought he was better than both of them, but ABC having that boring ass news show on before his makes it too late for me.. Nightline is OVER, shit. I don't like Conan either.. except sometimes he is really hilarious.
I'd rather watch The Daily Show and Colbert Report than any of them.
I've always prefered Letterman over Leno. My viewing pleasure has declined since he had a kid and talks about it with other guests-I can't relate.
I love it when Drew visits him and some other guests blah blah blah etc etc
Actually, it was "Late Night With David Letterman" from 1982-93 on NBC. Then he moved to CBS to do "The Late Show With David Letterman" from 1993-present. NBC hired Conan O'Brien to take over Letterman's 12:30 slot with "Late Night With Conan O'Brien."
Conan will leave that show to take over "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" from Jay Leno in 2009. That is, unless Leno refuses to leave his desk, which is entirely possible. Leno has as much talent as a split pea, but he makes up for it with guile and determination. Also, Leno still beats Letterman in the ratings most of the time because he gets the more mainstream movie & TV stars in Los Angeles than Letterman does in New York.
