YEP that's where he got the idea originally but years of alcohol abuse have made him think he came up with it and he told his friend Joseph Stalin (no relation) all about it and he sploodged in a vain effort to finish this sentence.

I think the actor was a bit "eccentric" so I doubt we'll even see him again in flashbacks.
