she's a Chinese student and the protagonist in the book I had her reading was a Star Trek geek, erm, aficionado.

yes, she is also known as Bones.
Have you read any of Kathy Reichs' books, who the TV Dr Brennon character is based on? Reichs is a forensic anthropologist in RL. The books are ALOT darker than the TV series.

but I digress:
Deforrest Kelly of Star Trek TOS was the one I was referring to.

btw, I really like the TV show Bones.
Out of a field of drek, I know that's not saying much, but still.

I tried to watch Bones for about five minutes one but David Boreanaz was really annoying in it.
 
I had to think for a second and God even I know who Bones is and I hate Star Trek.
 
How can anyone HATE Star Trek? What's it done to you? :(
 
What, you've never watched "Voyager", "Enterprise", or "Nemesis"?
