TV House of the Dragon season 3

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter

Looks like we're getting that season 2 finale big battle episode at last.

Should be good.

Has anyone seen the other new GoT show? It seemed to appear out of no where without any advertising. Or maybe AdBlock just makes me think so.

It has a thread (it's good)!

I’ll check it out.

Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is great.

I was right into HotD S1, but S2 was very hit and miss. I'm assuming S3 will kick into high gear proper.

*Daemon instantly returns to Harrenhal to have more sex dreams about his mother for the entirety of season 3*

Doom and ruin surround us is the theme of this show.

There's a reason there's no dragons left by the time of Dunc and Egg and the Targaryens are just weird perverts on horses.

Damn, this is a good trailer that really seems designed to say "yes, lots of things happen this season, don't worry."

Looks like Rhaenyra's going to go Targy mad!

REMEMBER the new season starts tonight/tomorrow.

(There was no "previously on..." thing, so if you can't remember the last season I'd strongly suggest finding some kind of recap on youtube.)

It is WELL KNOWN that season 2 was cut short by two episodes and it didn't have a proper finale. This episode is obviously how season 2 should have ended (maybe it's the final two episodes stuck together or it stops short of where the season would have stopped, I don't know.) But it works quite well as a season opener too as we get a lot of stuff that's obviously going to be hugely important going forward.

One of the weirdest things in the last season finale was how much time we spent with Rhaena looking for a stray dragon, but it makes sense now! I guess dragons have some genetic memory of the High Valyrian language? But not enough to tell black from green. Taking an untrained dragon into such a chaotic fight is not smart! I guess she's going to run off and live in the wild in shame now.

If this had been the season 2 finale, then the first two seasons would have both ended with Rhaenyra losing a son in a dragon mishap. Jace was kind of dumb but pretty unlucky his dragon drowned next to the only pirate ship that hadn't burned down yet.

I was a bit surprised they killed the pirate lady so quickly but the fight with the Sea Snake with the shapes rolling about and everything was very fun. And he's good at swimming so I doubt he's dead.

I think they hinted at Aemond wanting to fuck his mum last season lol. Maybe he's confused by the fact that she's only three years older than him.

Pretty harsh on the actor who played them to kill both Lannister twins in the same episode.

I like Alicent's brother, he's actually against rape. He'll probably die soon.

I liked how Alys just said "I'm a witch" and the dragon bros were like "yeah, fuck this."

It was a great season opener with lots of burning ships and dragons.

Season two ended with a big build up that should have lead into a huge battle at the river. We didn't get that battle, we got the end of that battle, WTF HBO? Instead we got the battle at the gullet. It was a good battle, but we still get a bunch of other stuff before that. It's not necessarily bad stuff, but had we had this at the end of season two, we probably wouldn't need so much of it. I really hope Jace dying is not an excuse for Rhaenyra to say that she was in the right. I'm hoping that the next episode there's still some more battle to be had because the one Lanister should be still alive and Corlys should be out there as well. Glad to see the tranny get killed by a man and not be too "girl" bossy. I thought it was a decent episode and I hope the rest of the season is good.
