Just the opposite -- it's been a great example of democracy in action. People weren't being gunned down while trying to vote, neither side was threatening to stage a coup, and both sides abided by the vote and moved on. That's what's supposed to happen if a country is well-run.

My voting region had a 91% turnout (highest in the country.) Not bragging or anything.

It was very impressive. I agree with headvoid that it had its unpleasant moments, but thankfully they were mostly verbal ('No' supporters on Twitter were set upon immediately as traitors). I'd write off stuff like the Nazi salutes in George Square as isolated incidents in an overall peaceful process. Those people didn't seem like they reserved being a twat for special occasions.
