Game Of Thrones season 4 CASTING NEWS

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
Still NINE MONTHS to go until we get to watch season 4, but at least we have our casting news!

Pedro Pascal has been cast as Prince Oberyn Martell of Dorne.

It's hard to get excited when I've never heard of him before.

Someone said he's done GAY STUFF before so they probably only cast him to add some pointless sex scenes.[/cynical]

Pedro Pascal - never heard of him, doesn't appear to have a buff body (see his arms), will need hair extensions, not good looking at all. Why can't they give us some eye candy on this show? They killed off the good looking one (Robb Stark) and they don't show the other good looking one, Jaime Lannister, except covered in grease and dirt. I want some eye candy-make that clean eye candy!! I want someone I can get behind and then reach around. . .*sigh*

I read GRRM's defense of Pedro somewhere the other day. Apparently he killed it in his auditions and GRRM is very pleased with him.

No, I don't know why Emilia Clarke got nominated over Michelle Fairley and Maisie Williams...

The Emmy nominations never make much sense. It's almost always the same people in the same shows over and over.

I mean I like Emilia Clarke and she was very good in the "a dragon is no slave" scene, but I would have thought Michelle Fairley would be a more obvious pick. And Jaime got more big acting moments than Tyrion last season too.
