I'm one of about ten people who started the entire thing on the Internet. That meme exploded and is globally recognized now.

Some guy posted the link to a blog on TBBS where the blogger had bought a pirated copy of ROTS in China and the subs had been churned out for it, possibly by a translation machine. The article was called "The Backstroke Of The West" (the subbed version of Return of the Sith) the copy was dubbed in Chinese and for them to maximize profits they wanted English subs so as to appeal to English speaking tourists.

There were a number of absolutley hilarious frames from the movie with completley wrong dialogue and about 10 of us started posting about the funniest ones in the bloggers comment box. I then posted it a number of times at TBBS, started the thread about the pirated version of ROTS here and at LoNAF and "DO NOT WAAAAANT!" (which is the badly subbed moment when Vader goes "NOOOOOO!!") suddenly caught on and everyone started saying it. And like with these things so often people don't remember where they picked something up.


Ultimatley the true orignator of that meme would be the blooger who posted the screengrabs of that copy of ROTS but myself and a few others made it popular.


And now it's everywhere. And I get NOOOOOOOOOO credit!
