I REALLY want to burn some pictures onto a disc that can be played on a dvd player. I have an HP a6300f pavilion desktop THINGY. I also have some HP DVD+R blank discs. Do I need to download some dvd burning software? ALSO, if I do, can someone recommend the right software?

OMG

What version of Windows do you have?

If you have something other than Vista Home Basic/7 Home Basic, it comes with a program that lets you make picture slideshows that you can play on a DVD player, either Windows DVD Maker or Windows Movie Maker.

COOL, I was just reading the help stuff about windows movie maker. I have Vista home premium, so I shouldn't need other software. I hope these are the correct type of discs, from everything I've read they should be. Now I guess I should just make sure I format it for dvd so it will play on the TV AND STUFF. I AM SCARED. CROSS YOUR FINGERS AND TOES.

Unless your DVD player is like ten years old, it should read pretty much any type of disc you put in it. The whole thing with DVD+R and DVD-R really doesn't matter any more.

I find petrol and a book of matches helps ;)

CAN YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE?!?!?!

Honey, with the amount of petrol you've used, even I can see it clearly - FROM MY BEDROOM WINDOW!!

Mine too, all the way over here in Vermont

I DID IT!

OK, step two: upload to picturehoster and posting them RIGHT HERE!!

WELL, It's a movie thing for grandma's memorial tomorrow night. I didn't set it to music or anything, but I guess I could upload it to youtube and you can see the pictures. IF YOU WANT TO.

I do! Only if it's not too much of a hassle for you, of course.

OK, this was my very first DVD EVAR and also the first time I ever uploaded a video to youtube. I think I did it RIGHT.

Looks good. Some music would be a nice touch though. I'd suggest Grandma's favorite song. Or you singing "You are My Sunshine"

(If you can figure out how to add music. NO PRESSURE)

WELL, we have an Elvis CD (gospel music) picked out. I think they can play them separately and at the same time, or something. I DONT' KNOW.

She had such a beautiful smile! It's a nice tribute to your grandma, thanks for sharing that!

(And yeah, you did it right ;) )

I think I may have fallen in love your your grandma around 1952.

You have created something wonderful Cass, well done.

Thats a good choice too. Can't go wrong with Elvis.

(Though Hound Dog and Jailhouse Rock might not be appropriate:))
