The school/shared housing theme has become my prevalent dream:
Taking a course, but somehow...OK, first off, last night was one of those not being able to fall asleep after the 4am bathroom break and then eventually dreaming you're not be able to fall asleep nights. So I'm taking a course, but for some reason it is being taught at my house. (And my house is wildly mutable in this dream but we'll go into that more later.) At first it starts in my bedroom for some reason. But the class is actually going down in the living room. Actually we'll talk about it now. First off, every house I've owned doesn't *have* an upstairs. Hell, only this place has a basement--rest were all crawlspaces (with one slab). And the bedroom was like a huge suite. So I get downstairs and someone's sitting in my spot. I'm irked, but I tell myself they were there first and for today's purposes it's not my house, it's the school's classroom, but it still miffs me. While I'm dealing with this the living room has become more like a picnic area, with circular turf...hillocks? tuffets? for people to sit on with firepits in the centers. Then I head back up to my bedroom to cope and be introverted (I may have had an extended conversation with someone in the dream about how you can be an introvert and function and act social) and there's a couple people on this...lounger? chaise lounge?...next to the giant bed and they're apparently fooling around. My first impulse is to be polite they're rude to me so I put my foot down and tell them to get the hell out. The girl on top goes "I suppose this is *your* house?" And I go "As a matter of fact it is, now get out." So she sulks off snarkily and one of them says something to the effect of "you think you're better than us just because you own a house" and I reply "I own LOTS of houses, now get the hell out!" The girl on the bottom still hasn't moved so I whip out my belt but apparently belts follow the same rules in dreams as guns and punches and it is completely ineffectual but eventually she scurries off too.
That's about the...oh, to use the bathroom...that's why I went up to the bedroom. To use the bathroom. There's a bathroom downstairs but I wanted to use the one off the bedroom. And the lesbians barked at me that the room was occupied and I couldn't go use the bathroom. But anyway, after that I realized I had fallen asleep and was dreaming--and promptly woke up. After that it was just really disjointed snippets of dreams that I can't remember didn't have any coherent narrative.
