I don't have a mentor now, and any mentor I may have had when I was younger led me in the wrong direction.

Well you know, my parents were good mentors but I didn't want to listen to them.
 
My father beat me regularly and made me sit for hours in silence looking at slowly congealing gravy. I turned out alright. So maybe it all evens out.
