Dark Shadows

NeonMercuryASH

beer, I want beer
Went to see it this afternoon. I actually managed to have a perfect moment. An unreal, surreal moment that spills into RL. The sort of moment that makes you arch your brow and say ORLY?! I asked the price of the ticket, only to find out i am too young for the SCitizen. I pushed my money and some sort of force pushed it back to me. Maybe the wind. The ticket seller and I got a good chuckle and I gave him the money back and he gave me a ticket. The end.

Was the movie good? It looks great in the commercials!

Yeah as great as that story was, what about the movie?

The movie was quite good. Scarier than the trailer. funny but only as bridges. I can say little more, because the story line is different from the soap, so it's not like watching the tv show. So, yes, you get a different story.

I might go see this with my mum.

If your money comes back to you, they should let you see it for free.

I am in Key West. They don't let you DIE for free.

OMG! another perfect moment. I'm picking up a loaf of bread. I park my bike. On the ground lay a vitamin catalog from the people I buy mine from- Puritan's Pride. The name of the mailing label? Angela XXXXXX. Not my name, but I really do need more supplies. This is like twilight zone.

TELL ME MY FUTURE!

This thread is giving me a funny moment, but I can't describe it.

It's like deja vu but BETTER.

Dark Shadows was mediocre. Don't waste your money.

Dark Shadows could have been pretty cool, but I have heard nothing but bad things about this new movie. Shame. :(

It had way too many top talent actors in it to be so bad. Very poorly put together. Without spoilers, I'll give an example. There is a MAJOR plot development in the climactic scene of the movie--so major a chunk of the scene hinges on it. But it comes completely out of nowhere and is so convoluted that the villain actually has to STOP THE BATTLE long enough to toss in a quick explanation of how this particular twist came about. "Oh by the way, I did this thing years ago that I forgot to mention until this very second and which you're all just finding out about! SO HAHA!"

Terrible writing and a clear attempt to cash in on the twilight vamp frenzy going on right now.

But, from a purely artistic sense, in order to make a good remake of a bad original, shouldn't the remake be bad too?

One should not encourage Tim Burton and Johnny Depp into thinking they are artists. They take that shit seriously and then we all suffer.

Does Eva Green look nice at least?

I tried to watch Johnny Depp in the Rum Diaries and I literally got bored enough to simply stop the DVD, put it in the envelope and send it back.

you must remember this film also included mild shagging scenes with AMBER HEARD. It was so dull, I considered reading a document about shopper psychology in the Mayonnaise market.
