Preseason: (2 - 1)

Week 1: Aug. 13 at Denver L
Journeymen Josh Johnson leads Broncos' backups past Cowboys 17-7
Johnson, who's 36 years old and playing for his 14th NFL team, threw a pair of first-half touchdown passes. Cooper Rush got the start for Dallas and was 12 of 20 for 84 yards and an interception. Broncos QB Russell Wilson sat this one out along with Cowboys QB Dak Prescott.

Week 2: Aug 20 at Los Angeles Chargers W
Ka'Vontae Turpin has kickoff, punt return TD's: Cowboys beat Chargers 32-18
The Dallas wide receiver became the first player in nine seasons to have kickoff and punt return touchdowns in the same game. the last player to run back a punt and kickoff in the same game — preseason, regular season or playoffs was Detroit's Jeremy Ross on Dec. 8, 2013, against Philadelphia.

The Seahawks are entering a new era after trading the Super Bowl winner and 10-year starter Wilson to Denver. Will Grier threw for 88 yards and 2 TD's, The defense had 4 INT for the Cowboys

Week 1: Sept. 11 vs. Tampa Bay L
Brady, Buds throttle Cowboys 19-3 as Prescott injures hand
Tom Brady and Mike Evans connected on a punctuating touchdown, Leonard Fournette ran for 127 yards. - A rough night for Prescott got worse after his right hand struck a defender when throwing a pass in the fourth quarter.

Week 2: Sept. 18 vs. Cincinnati W
Maher lifts Rush, Cowboys over Burrow, Bengals, 20-17
Brett Maher kicked a 50-yard field goal as time expired. Rush is now 2-0 as an NFL starter. The Cowboys sacked Burrow six times in the first three quarters. The Bengals are the first defending AFC champion to start 0-2 since Denver.


Week 3: Sept. 26 at New York Giants W
Lamb's 1-handed TD catch gives Dallas 23-16 win over Giants
Lamb finished with eight catches for 87 yards, but also dropped a potential 52-yard TD pass. Rush threw for 210 yards. Jones finished 20 of 37 for 196 yards and ran nine times for 79 yards. Barkley finished with 81 yards on 14 carries.


Week 4: Oct. 2 vs. Washington W
Backup QB Rush wins again, as Cowboys beat Commanders 25-10
The three Rush-led victories this season for the Cowboys (3-1) have been the defending NFC East champs lost their opener to Tampa Bay. Washington outgained Dallas 297 yards to 279 but had several promising drives stalled by penalties, and flags

The Cowboys' impressive start to the season without Dak Prescott is also very real and not even the defending Super Bowl champions could slow them down. Cooper Rush remained unbeaten as the Cowboys' fill-in starter despite passing for just 102 yards

Week 6: Oct. 16 at Philadelphia L
Eagles improve to 6-0, Hurts key in 26-17 win over Cowboys
Jalen Hurts threw for 155 yards and two touchdowns, C.J. Gardner-Johnson had two of Philadelphia's three interceptions. Rush threw two interceptions in the first half that led to 10 points for the Eagles


Week 7: Oct. 23 vs. Detroit W
Cowboys lean on defense in Prescott's return, top Lions 24-6
Dallas touchdowns, starting with Trevon Diggs third interception of the season on a diving play inside the Dallas 20 with the Lions leading 6-3. Jared Goff was responsible for four other Detroit turnovers with two interceptions and two fumbles.

Week 8: Oct. 30 vs. Chicago W
Cowboys' Prescott, Parsons rumble to 49-29 win over Bears
Prescott threw for two touchdowns and ran for another score, and Tony Pollard had 131 yards rushing and a career-best three touchdowns. Parsons scored his first TD. Fields threw for two touchdowns and ran for a score for Chicago (3-5).

Week 10: Nov. 13 at Green Bay L
Rogers rally Packers past McCarthy's Cowboys 31-28 in OT
Rodgers threw three touchdown passes to rookie Christian Watson. Watson caught four passes for 107 yards against Dallas, including touchdowns of 58, 39 and 7 yards. Dallas’ CeeDee Lamb finished with 11 catches for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Pollard ran for 115 yards and a score. Prescott went 27 of 46 for 265 yards, three TDs and two interceptions.


Week 11: Nov. 20 at Minnesota W
Cowboys crush Vikings' 7-game win streak with 40-3 romp
Tony Pollard had two touchdown catches for a career-high 189 yards from scrimmage. Ezekiel Elliott rushed for two scores. Brett Maher made four field goals, including a 60-yarder for Dallas - Vikings Cousin went 12 for 23 for 105 yards. Justin Jefferson, coming off a career-high 193 receiving yards against the Bills, had 33 yards on three catches


Week 12: Nov. 24 vs. New York Giants W
Lamb sets table on Thanksgiving as Cowboys beat Giants 28-20
Lamb finished with six catches for 106 yards. Elliott had a season-high 92 yards rushing. Dallas pass-rushing star Micah Parsons had his sixth two-sack game of the season, accounting for all of his team-leading 12. - Giants Saquon Barkley was held to 39 yards rushing with a 1-yard TD

Week 13: Dec. 4 vs. Indianapolis W
Cowboys scored 33 points in 4th quarter, rout Colts 54-19
Prescott's first-quarter TD toss to Lamb gave him 154 career scoring passes, breaking a tie with Pro Football Hall of Famer Roger Staubach for fourth in club history. Gallup and Lamb scored the first three Dallas touchdowns and combined for nine catches for 94 yards.


Week 14: Dec. 11 vs. Houston W
Cowboys score late to avoid major upset, beat Texans 27-23
Ezekiel Elliott scored the go-ahead touchdown with 41 seconds remaining. Tony Pollard scored twice for Dallas. - After going back to Davis Mills as the starter following a two-game benching, the Texans threw his first TD pass since 2020.


Week 15: Dec. 18 at Jacksonville L
Jaguars intercepted Prescott, stun Cowboys 40-34 in OT
Lawrence completed 27 of 42 passes for 318 yards, with four touchdowns and an interception. - Prescott completed 23 of 30 passes for 256 yards, with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Two of his TD passes went to Brown.

Week 16: Dec. 24 vs. Philadelphia W
Prescott, Dallas win 40-34, make Eagles wait for top seed
Prescott threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns. Lamb finished with 103 before the break on the way to 10 catches for 120 yards. - Gardner Minshew threw two scoring passes and had a TD run filling in for the injured Jalen Hurts.


Week 17: Dec. 29 at Tennessee W
Prescott has 2 TD passes, Cowboys top banged-up Titans 27-13
Prescott threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns to Dalton Schultz. Ezekiel Elliott had a 1-yard TD, his ninth straight game with a rushing TD. - Titans QB Dobbs finished with 232 yards and the first TD pass of his career.

Week 18: Jan. 7 or 8 at Washington
