William Shatner was an awful actor way back then! BUT he was so cute, who cares? I thought it was a great episode, loved how they worked that old footage in... and Denny Crane was shown to have some brains and heart (despite the mad cow) I was beginning to get really tired of how they kept portraying him as an idiot sex fiend.
 
I like it better when it's serious and not "Denise looking for Michael J Fox's severed head in a haunted house."
 
Yeah, sometimes they go overboard with the silly shit.
 
Did she ever find his head anyway? I was thinking he faked his death for some reason and will show up again some day.
 
I thought she found it in that haunted house? Well maybe not, that episode was stupid so I can't remember much about it.

I thought he might show up again someday too. Unless he dies in RL.
 
They could have him played by a different actor and say he had his brain transplanted to a new body to beat cancer.
 
I like it for the silly shit. It's like having Ally McBeal back on TV. Which for me would be a good thing.
 
I like the silly mixed in subtly where it catches you by surprise.

Of course some of the blatantly silly stuff is hilarious like the guy who's gone and I can't remember his name but he wore the Buzz Lightyear costume and got stuck in it. Or Betty White making friends with the guy who bashed people over the head with a frying pan.
 
The silly shit killed Ally McBeal! When they had Dame Edna as a magical wizard who lived in the bathroom, or something.
 
Ally McBeal was designed to be silly from Day One. It's just that they ran out of original silly shit in the last couple of seasons.

Plus, the show had no pulse or heart without Peter MacNichol/John Cage. After he left there was not much left to save.
 
(I keep talking about Ally McBeal because I'm currently downloading all 5 seasons, and enjoying it immensely)
