Well it makes a change, usually it looks like a character's gonna die and then they appear in the preview.

Not a bad start. The gayness was fairly sensitively handled for a change and the story was okay. No seriously stupid events I can think of. Jack having a daughter and grandson makes sense. Shame they killed off that nice evil doctor/secret agent.

The kids stopping does remind me of the Sycorrax (not gonna bother trying to spell that right) making people stand on roofs in the first Tennant Christmas special.

John Barrowman was looking a bit fat. And he looks funny when he runs.

Has Jack's daughter been mentioned before? It seemed vaguely familiar but I don't think she has.

Maybe now that he's blown up it'll just be his head left and somehow it'll be huge and have to be kept in a jar AND HE'S THE FACE OF BO, WOW.

Or he'll just regenerate like Wolverine.

Eve Myles is really annoying.

It's on BBC America. I typically don't watch it, because I can't get that channel in HD. When, oh when, will cable companies offer ALL channels in HD for one low monthly fee??

The lift out of the Hub really should go faster

All the doors in the Hub close too slowly for the HQ of global guardians. The airlock from DS9 takes its sweet time as well.

Why have automatic doors that take 10 times longer to open or close...ah, fuck it.

Mind you, for a lift with absolutely no safety cage, it probably goes just about the right speed, considering you have to stand in the middle or fall off.

Tonights was better than the 1st night, I totally called the concrete thing, I just wonder if the other bits of Jack they didn't recover are also regenerating into another Jack?

I wondered the same about other Jacks... probably not, though.

Didn't think it was quite as good as last night's, but only by a smidge. Still very good quality for Torchwood. The preview for tomorrow's episode was surprisingly bland, but I suppose there's only so much they can show without giving it all away if the aliens take up most of the story from then on.

Question: Are all Welshmen tubby rugby player types?
