Klubnik, No. 10 Clemson rout No. 24 UNC 39-10 for ACC title
Freshman Cade Klubnik came off the bench to complete 20 of 24 passes for 279 yards and a touchdown and ran for a score to lead No. 10 Clemson to the ACC championship with a 39-10 victory over No. 24 North Carolina on Saturday night. Clemson (11-2, No. 9 CFP) won six straight ACC championships from 2015 to 2020 before failing to reach the title game last season. But coach Dabo Swinney's Tigers rebounded in a big way, going 9-0 against ACC foes.
ACC player of the year Drake Maye was limited to 268 yards passing and turned the ball over three times for North Carolina (9-4, No. 23 CFP), which was seeking its first ACC championship since 1980 when Lawrence Taylor was wreaking havoc on quarterbacks. North Carolina: Maye garnered plenty of Heisman Trophy talk during the season, but the offense has stalled resulting in a three-game losing streak. But as long as Maye doesn't transfer - and there are no indications he will given his family history at North Carolina - the Tar Heels have a good chance to get back to the ACC title game next season.

Two-time All-ACC WR Josh Downs leaving North Carolina for NFL
Two-time All-ACC wide receiver Josh Downs is leaving North Carolina for the NFL, he told ESPN. Downs is the No. 4-rated wide receiver in the upcoming draft, according to ESPN NFL draft analyst Todd McShay, making him one of the top receiving prospects available for NFL teams. Downs had back-to-back seasons of more than 1,000 yards receiving for the Tar Heels and caught 22 career touchdown passes. In just three seasons at UNC, he rose to No. 4 on the school's all-time receiving list (2,483) and No. 2 in touchdown catches. He will not play in the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl against Oregon.

Nix leads No. 15 Oregon to Holiday Bowl win vs. Tar Heels
Bo Nix threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Chase Cota on fourth down with 19 seconds left and Camden Lewis' PAT bounced off the left upright and went through to give No. 15 Oregon a wild 28-27 victory against North Carolina on Wednesday night at Petco Park. Nix was 23 of 30 for 205 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception.
North Carolina: The Tar Heels ended with four straight losses, including a 29-point defeat against Clemson in the ACC title game. Maye, the ACC Offensive Player of the Year, was 18 of 35 for 206 yards and three scores.
