The 99th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
Miracle on 34th St (the 1947 original)
Victor/Victoria
Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol
A Very Brady Renovation
Single All The Way
A Christmas Story - The Musical Live (2017)
WALL-E (this one I paid attention to and watched... still such a classic)
 
Dang. Did I imagine it or am I getting old. I feel like Avril Lavigne used the Streets Have No Names location for the Sk8erboi video, but now I'm not so sure:

And it's funny that Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey had no chemistry IRL, because they're such effing magic as Johnny and Baby. It's like Adam and Jamie in Mythbusters or any number of other teams that are so great on camera that don't actually get along IRL. Wild.

The first time I saw that flick was in a shitty motel room in Raton, NM on HBO (or something) around Memorial Day, 1988. I was on a roadtrip with a female friend of mine to get out to the middle of nowhere for a long weekend, and she wanted to watch it and I was like, okay. It is a good movie, great, even for a low budget sleeper. And after it was over my friend was extremely... horny. That is all.
 
This year I understood the magic of duvet covers. I had a comforter I got in the early '90s--maybe even the late '80s. Obviously it eventually wore out, but I've never found one I liked as much as it. Also, it's a pain in the ass to wash them--they barely fit in the machine and they get damaged. But I realized it's easier to find a cover that I like to go on an existing comforter that is cheaper and doesn't leave me figuring out what to do with the old one and on top of that I can take it off and wash it. And when it wears out I can use it for rags and just buy a new one.
 
The Statue of Liberty should be renamed "Maiden America." Partly because it's a cool name but mostly to annoy the French.

[ETA]Apparently this is an Iron Maiden album title.

That is amazing.

I am home for the weekend and my mom has switched from her routine of re-run sitcoms and shows to watching old gameshows. Shows I didn't even know existed. All day long. And she isn't wearing her hearing aids.
I escaped mid day to go the auto part store.

It is one of my favorite movies.
I love Patrick Swayze.
I like the storyline with her father.

I also enjoy other dancing movies:
Coyote Ugly (also has storyline about relationship with father)
Save the Last Dance-tho I can't remember which parent storyline there was-probaly also a dead mother
Burlesque-Maybe I like that one more than Dirtly Dancing now.
Chicago is nice
and the one with that Australian Moulin Rouge

I can't remember if I have seen Black Swan, I haven't seen Showgirls yet

Dang now I want to just have a marathon of dancing, showbiz type movies
