Where is the Random Thread of Randomness stuff that doesn't belong in other threads thread?

So. Digital thermostats. Mine lets you set the "heat" temp and the "AC" temp differently. I'm cheap so I keep it at 82 in the summer and...I'm not entirely sure in the winter. See, in the spring and fall, when you're sort of in between needing either, sometimes I'll jog the temp up or down a couple degrees when I open the windows to keep the HVAC from accidentally coming on. Overcast today, so I can't expect the sun to bring the heat up, so I bit the bullet and turned the furnace on. Problem is, when I switched over to "heat" it said I had the temp at 65 degrees. Do I really keep the house 65 degrees in the winter or did I just bump the temp down in the spring so the furnace wouldn't come on when I opened windows? I decided I keep the temp at 67.

Another way I realized M$ has fucked up Solitaire: OK. If you turn off your WiFi before playing, the game runs like traditional M$ Solitaire--no ads, no annoying shit. But the other thing--and it took a minute or two to sink in--is that, by default, there's a "difficulty" level to it: Easy, Medium, Hard, etc.

HOW CAN YOU HAVE A DIFFICULTY SETTING ON A GAME OF CHANCE!? It undermines the entire premise of Solitaire--the random shuffling of the deck. "You want an easy game? OK. I'll shuffle the deck so that it gives you better cards." The fact that it is possible to set the game so the cards are in an easier or harder order ruins it. It establishes that, if the game isn't actually rigged, it is designed so that it can be rigged. How can you trust that you're pitting your skill against chance?

I wish Life was like video games on a console system or a desktop, where you can pause it and go do something else for awhile and then come back when you're ready to play some more, instead of being like arcade games, where you can take a break if you've built up enough points, but the game keeps happening and you get killed the whole time you're not playing.

There's a high school that has a radio station here and I'll listen to it a lot because it plays some very obscure cuts from my childhood and a very eclectic mix. Like, Lady Gaga "Bad Romance" followed up by Jerry Reed "Eastbound & Down". Well the other day they played "Love Will Turn You Around" by Kenny Rogers, which got my brain firing. Watching reruns of "Fast N' Loud" had earlier reminded me of the Kenny Rogers car racing/family movie "Six Pack" and I (correctly) surmised this song was from that movie. Anyway, now it is stuck in my head.

I would like to know how tf you cut flex seal tape without destroying a pair of scissors. Acetone doesn't even take the sticky stuff off. I NEED TO CUT SOME MORE TAPE. I refuse to use my good scissors.

THE FLEX SEAL TAPE IS DEAD.

Also, why does my dog refuse to drink the clean fresh water I lovingly provide for her at least once a day, and sometimes more if my brother's dog drinks it all? She was just in the yard drinking from rain puddles, and wouldn't even look at the nice bowl of water in the kitchen. She yacks sand every time. WHY IS SHE LIKE THIS? Dogs.

And another also, we just had a pretty heavy downpour and I let Beebee and the Tiny dog (he is still here) play in the rain. They had the most fun ever. I remember running in the rain when I was 4 or 5 years old. Beebee needed to have a friend who is just as crazy as she is. They sound like they are having a real fight, but they are playing like maniacs.

I lol'ed at this far longer than I probably should've:

The Cat almost wound up wearing a belt last night. I'd taken the collar off The Dog for the evening and was going to hang it on the back door so I wouldn't forget to put it on her if she wanted to go Out when he crossed in front of me and stopped. I looked at the size of the collar and the size of his waist and considered it for a moment before deciding not to...for now.

I need to figure out the food situation with the Tiny dog. Beebee eats at about 6pm every night, she has a food routine, doesn't matter if I put food out first thing, she's not eating it until 6pm. Tiny dog eats everything all the time, Beebee can barely get a bite of food. If I put more food down, he will eat it and Beebee lets him, then he shits in the house in the middle of the night. I've tried hand feeding Beebee, and once she was so hungry she let me, but now she just gives me the bitch please look. Tiny dog was not starved when he showed up, but he acts like he has been food deprived. I DON'T BELIEVE IT.
