While not perfect most of the 90's was a good time for me, then around 1997 my family got a computer and I started spending more time online and watching TV shows and neglecting real world socializing and other life responsibilities. I wish I could go back and spend more time connecting with the rreal world.
I had to give it up or die. You can only do crank/acid/coke for so long before you become permanently fried. What sucks about giving all that up, is that you can't really dabble in it later on without getting caught back up in all of it. So I've had to give up smoking weed too (which I think is a nearly benign drug) just to keep away from the other stuff I really like. I'd LOVE to puff on some weed now and then.
You put me to shame! I'm just an Irish drunk who has the occasional (infrequent) puff off someone else's stash.
I tried coke twice, didn't like it. I did acid twice, liked it, but only because of the circumstances/environment in which I did it. (This was all in the New Age 80s) No way would I try it in my current reality, LOL. Never tried the other stuff, it seemed too Afterschool Special/Degrassi/"a very special Eight Is Enough" to get involved with it.
