If/when there is a final Simpsons episode, I predict it will end with the Simpsons leaving Springfield, being waved goodbye by Carl and Lenny. Once the car is off the horizon, Carl and Lenny look at each other for a moment, and then kiss passionately.

Then the whole Simpsonverse will be revealed to be a daydream of Maggie's, who actually belongs to Ned and is autistic.
