So my anecdote is supportive.
 
Avoid it by spending an inordinate amount of time typing rubbish on forums. I excell at it, although it is not particularly good for my career
 
I'll give that a go.
 
Produce a home made cardboard cut out of yourself and play a tape looped with your voice using familiar phrases "yes, I'll be right on it!", "nearly finished that excel spread!", "your comments offend me!", "this isn't the government anti-smoking campaign I joined!", "I nominate myself for that position of authority and prestige!", etc.

Meanwhile you can be partaking in a variety of EXCITING activities, such as drinking, watching movies, watching your son grow up, watching movies with your son, reminding son not to give in to toddler peer pressure- smoking isn't cool and it isn't smart! Or you could be posting on TK.

There are some days when you feel sapped of entertainment value, and even though you could post all day at TK or lonaf, you just dont have the get up and go, to just do it.

A number of things have put me on a downer today, but at least I am home now where things are better.

Got to pack all my stuff up at work tommorow to move offices on wednesday, and acess to the internet might be ropey at best after that.

Jacked in my position as fire warden, as couldnt be arsed to keep telling them that stacking up cardbourd boxes and paper along the wall on route to the fire exit might not be a good idea.

If the place goes up in flames its the fire wardens fault for not preventing it, so no more fire warden, no more blame, plus you dont get paid any more, so fuck it.
 
One day you'll be able to retire and wait patiently for death (while watching your kids grow up and other happy stuff, of course!)
 
I never really expected to live long enough to retire, but at least thats still 30 years away.

speaking of work, just came home and some CUNT had stolen my flag right off the house! And by off the house I mean he pulled it right away from the column it was attached to, pulling out the three screws that held it in the flag-holder-thingy- (that's gone too) now there remain three gaping holes in the woodwork where my flag used to be! :rwmad:
