I had something similar, but I forget if it had a famous magician on the box. It included this huge hard plastic top hat that weighed a lot and would probably give a little kid a headache if he tried to wear it like me an idiot.

Wow, I'd completely forgotten til I saw that pic, but yeah, I did have it!
And it is quite a shock that he's died. He's one of those people who's just always been around. Even after he stopped appearing on tv, you'd still hear about him quite often (or see the Louis Theroux episode on repeat again). Poor Debbie.

That magic set must have been an easy gift to give to any child born in the eighties. I remember trying to put on a magic show for my family but I couldn't get most of the tricks to work. I don't think I ever figured out what that bunny in the hat did.
