O.K..So I went out and bought the 2007 Microsoft Office Home and Student software

Unluckiest Charm in the Box
When I installed it, it stopped my Outlook Express Mailbox from working properly. I can click on the Icon and it opens, but once inside, it won't let me do anything! :eek:


What Gives!! :huh:
 
Well in that case, go find some torrents.

Of course, unless you are connected to an Exchange server, you could always try other better clients. Windows Live Mail client is the new Outlook Express and much better and just as free.
 
Didn't help lucy. I also installed it on my laptop and my Windows mail has stopped working as well.
 
I found out that MS Office Home and Student doesnt support e-mail. Says that I have to buy another "additional" program that supports it


but it doesnt say specifically what program I need :eek:
 
Ive still got Microsoft mail, its just that I dont have the icon anymore where I could just click-n-go. I have to do a complete log in now :(
 
Never buy the student edition of any MS program. Buy the professional editions or you are more likely to get screwed.

Bill Gates is working on screwing one user at a time till he gets us all.
 
I downloaded a free trial version of MS Office 2007. The trial is over. I am not too fond ( or experienced) of downloading from random sights-but I am a little bit desperate. Does anyone have a recomendation?Thanks.P.S. I tried re-downloading the trial version using a different email address, but it appears that the trial runs out on April 30 2010. It is just not available any more I assume.

http://www.openoffice.org/ This is what I use. Have for years. It's really great.
